Hatch Webinar: Reducing Cost and Time Delays in Mining Engineering Projects

**Please note - this webinar has taken place**

Hatch, a global leader in delivering mining and metals processing plants, will discuss combining their best practices with local construction expertise to deliver the AUD 4-5 Billion Qinghai Magnesium Smelter Dehydration Facility under construction in Qinghai Province, China. Hatch partnered with Shenyang Aluminum and Magnesium Design Institute for completion of detailed engineering and handover to the construction contractor.

Using Bentley’s 2D and 3D data-centric design environment the team significantly reduced the time required for data verification and with the automatic conversion from ASME to Chinese GB, the 3D model automatically regenerated eliminating most remodeling, improving collaboration and avoiding significant delays.

By attending this eSeminar you will learn:

1. The best practise approach Hatch took to deliver this project avoiding an 80 percent remodel and significant delay.

2. How they collaborated with their international Chinese partner to streamline handover

3. How they used modern 3D design technology to support this approach and increase the project's ROI
